SmartMesh Biweekly Report (2022.02.12–2022.02.25)

On the 24th of February evening, SmartMesh CEO and MetaLife Advisor Henry Wang revealed the Bluetooth Low-Energy Wormhole Protocol at the Web3 Monthly event hosted by the Startup Grind Interconnection. For the first time in history, it allows iPhones and Android phones to communicate with each other without the internet.  With the absence of a base station signal or an Internet connection, mobile phone users can now conduct cross-platform wireless communication and offline payment, a long-awaited breakthrough in the Web3 decentralized technology.

SmartMesh ecosystem partner MetaLife has launched its Discord server and started recruiting community leaders to build the MetaLife community (https://bit.ly/3MbudIX).  MetaLife is a social network built and owned by users, where everyone can “participate-to-earn”.  The team is extending the “participate-to-earn” incentive to members in its Discord server to reward early adopters that are contributing to the project.

  1. Completed testing and review of Spectrum 1.1.0 hard fork version;
  2. Spectrum 1.1.0 version is expected to be released on 12th March 2022 (Singapore time), hard fork height at 8654321;

  1. Debugged Room feature related to Photon supernodes, reconstructed user node registration and LIKE data interface function and data acquisition in Room;

1.2 Researched progress in Layer 2 projects including new contract features, improvement of on-chain interaction, optimization of cooperative calculation, the introduction of encrypted Secret, a supplement of static routing, etc.

  1. integrated communication functions of MetaLife APP, including node discovery in LAN network, joining via Pub invitation, mutual following, public posting and receiving, private message sending and receiving, etc.
  2. Analyzed MetaLife private group functions, conducted a preliminary evaluation on group scalability, auditability, usability, and adaptation use cases;

3 Analyzed relevant social protocols, including Profile NFT architecture, main functional modules, built-in governance mechanisms, data storage methods, etc.;

4 Discussed data compression function, communicated with MetaLife team about data compression mechanism in feed replication and other replication solutions;

1.5 Assessed design on reputation module, including tracking reputation and credibility of participants, identity verification and authorization, metadata storage, calculation of reputation value, use of external oracles, etc.;

Participated and assisted in the development of ecosystem MetaLife project:

  1. Released alpha release for internal and user experience testing;
  2. Constructed a “personal dynamic” renderer and rawdata visualization;
  3. Optimized polling mechanism and personal information caching mechanism;
  4. Realized Bluetooth interoperable UI and auxiliary logic access;
  5. Disseminated transmission of big data in BLE Bluetooth low-energy wormhole protocol communication;
  6. Worked on Device distinguished transmission from designated devices for BLE Bluetooth low energy wormhole protocol;
  7. Created a demo video on the operation of the BLE Bluetooth low-energy wormhole protocol.

Assisted MetaLife team in creating the BLE wireless communication (Android and Apple interoperability) product demonstration and exchanged technical and product process issues.

The Bluetooth Low-Energy Wormhole Protocol enables users’ personal information, privacy, and the social graphs to be stored on their personal mobile phones.  Even with the absence of the centralized Internet, people can still communicate, socialize, and transact payments using the protocol on their mobile phones, anywhere and anytime.

This new transformational realization of the Bluetooth Low-Energy Wormhole Protocol now removes barriers to human connection. This protocol will first be implemented in MetaLife – the decentralized social network, a project co-advised by Web3 proponent Henry Wang and DAO proponent Dan Larimer.  Whether one is in a remote and underdeveloped area without internet, on Mars or other planets and galaxies that have yet to be colonized by humans, MetaLife can connect all humans in the region and support transactions through Pub, DTN, Spectrum blockchain, and Layer2 Photon Network.  MetaLife’s mission is to realize the first decentralized Intergalactic Social Network.

The Bluetooth Low-Energy Wormhole Protocol makes the Web3 protocol stack more complete, expanding the One World One Web concept beyond planet earth so that humans become a multi-planetary species, the social network foundation for an open metaverse for all mankind is already running on MetaLife.

With its marketing campaign kickstarted, MetaLife will run many other programs (including AMAs, airdrops) to incentivize early adopters and supporters of the SmartMesh ecosystem.  Please join the MetaLife Discord server (https://discord.gg/Pwy6j63sTV) early to be eligible for such incentives and receive notices on related activities.
