SmartMesh Biweekly Report (2022.01.29–2022.02.11)

Taiwan TV media has reported on the SmartMesh – SUSS Metaverse Workshop. Following Singapore TV’s report on the Metaverse Workshop co-organized by SmartMesh, MeshBox and MetaLife Ecosystem, with SUSS, a Taiwan-based TV reporter went onsite to SUSS to experience the workshop and conduct interviews to produce the special report on Metaverse development in Singapore.

SmartMesh Advisor Peter continued discussions with a SmartMesh collaboration partner in South America about the car registration NFT process.  This partner is also interested in deploying MeshBox, SmartMesh protocols, and MetaLife applications. The car registration project may be extended from cars to farm equipment, which can also benefit from a registration process using NFTs.  Similar to the car NFT, that of the farm equipment can also keep track of change of ownership and other modifications to the equipment on the Spectrum blockchain.

  1. Completed test and review on Spectrum command modification.
  2. Optimized Spectrum to resolve time issue when obtaining validator data.
  3. Modified Spectrum package dependency management tool, and upgraded dependency manager from govendor to gomod.

1.1 Continued on design for Photon super node functions associated with Room, analyzed logic flow of online status of user nodes in Room and asynchronous reporting of like data during offline periods.

1.2 Continued on optimization for Photon super nodes related functions, including dynamic monitoring of Room related node channel balance, like data acquisition and query interface reconstruction, dynamic update of user channel status, etc.

  1. Assisted MetaLife team in preparing for Serverless distributed communication:

1.1 Analyzed MetaLife adaptation Room alias function, expanded user’s wallet address as a registration parameter to introduce alias registration process.

1.2 Analyzed classification and reconstruction design for MetaLife DB data, classify, decode and reconstruct different types of message feed storage.

1.3 Analyzed working methods of relevant social protocols and identity services, including social application construction methods, passive income sources, and identity service interaction scenarios and functions, etc.

1.4 Continued discussion on the identity recovery function for Metalife application, provided connection prompts and made relevant restrictions for fork prevention during the feed recovery process.

  1. Tested Planetary-pub.
  2. Optimized private chat data model, optimized implementation and user experience.
  3. Upgraded/adapted dependency packages and environment versions.
  4. implemented BLE peripheral mode writing function in Android and iOS.
  5. Enabled communication debugging on iOS and Android with BLE center mode and BLE peripheral mode.

  1. Assisted MetaLife team to connect with public chain and wallet-related functions.
  2. Collaborated with MetaLife team to test its product functions and other issues.
  3. Worked with MetaLife team to plan and discuss focus of product at different stages and the direction of ecosystem development.v

1. Henry, Founder of SmartMesh, was invited by Fuller to participate in the “2022 and Future Metaverse Industry Forecast” Webinar held at the EqualOcean headquarters in New York, where he shared his insights on Web3.0 and the metaverse. Henry advocates that Web3 and metaverse are different concepts. Traditional big companies such as Facebook (Meta) are products of Web2, and their metaverse is the traditional or classical Internet based on Web2 which belongs to the traditional or classical metaverse.  For such a traditional architecture, there will inevitably be involution as described by science fiction writer, Liu Cixin, as opposed to the evolution of the open metaverse based on Web3.

In the Web3 metaverse, there is no centralized server, which suffers from data privacy leaks. Henry and the first proposer of DAO, EOS founder Dan Larimer, co-advise the decentralized social network MetaLife, which for the first time, is implementing the Web3 concept on mobile phones, the future XR glasses or brain-computer interface, and entrance to the open metaverse to protect user data, value and privacy.

Despite the recent tightened policy to prohibit cryptocurrency from promotion and advertisement and calls for prudent investment to protect the public from cryptocurrency scams, Singapore continues to emphasize the importance of development in metaverse and inclusive financial technologies which advances the progress of human civilization. Taiwan TV conducted indepth interviews with Professor David Lee, Vice President of Singapore Economic Association, Soh Har Pang, Vice President of SmartMesh Ecosystem, and a number of Singaporean and international students on digital assets and career planning under the NFT and Metaverse boom.
