This week, SmartMesh had an intensive working meeting with the Singapore representatives from the MetaLife team which spans across Southeast Asia and Europe. MetaLife, a decentralized social network that supports Web3.0 applications including Metaverse, will lead the rapid development of an ecosystem supported by an underlying hardware and blockchain foundation of the Value Internet. The beta version for Android, iOS and PC version of MetaLife DApp is scheduled to be released and available for download during the SUSS-SmartMesh Metaverse Workshop in Singapore before the end of December.
The Metaverse Workshop jointly organized by SmartMesh and SUSS has received an overwhelming response from students and public, with registration exceeding the original planned audience on the first day of registration. The two-month Workshop aims to cultivate SmartMesh ecosystem blockchain talents, bring inclusive connectivity and finance to the underserved population, and provide decentralized infrastructure and diverse applications to build the Metaverse.
The following is the recent specific work:
Preparation for Spectrum hard fork:
- Compared the latest virtual machine instruction differences between Spectrum, Ethereum, BSC, and HecoChain, and prepared to add related instruction sets to support the latest Solidity compiler;
- Increased the gas limit setting on Spectrum block to support larger contracts and more block transactions;
Assisted in technical selection and functional design with the MetaLife team:
- Tested nodejs on mobile app.
- Tested encapsulation of serverless distributed communication protocol ssb-server/ssb-client and its feasibility on nodes.
- selected React Native for development due to its complete development kit and a wide range of SDK packaging
- Separation of multi-chain wallet functions;
- Preparation for Cycle and React Native development;
- Created Cycle mnemonic module.
1.1 Designed interface and parameter for invitation code query, account binding, Pub information query, data screening, etc., based on the design of Photon super node, to provide a Layer2 solution for subsequent MetaLife social incentives.
1.2 Researched relevant two-tier NFT trading platform solutions, including: main functional modules of Wyvern protocol, on-chain and off-chain bidding analysis, and ZKBox process, etc., to provide reference for subsequent expansion of the Photon application.
- Preparation for serverless distributed communication.
1.1 Discussed economic model with MetaLife team, analyzed MetaLife ecosystem role and its value creation and consumption model, to provide support for ecosystem incentives and value transfer.
1.2 Researched relevant decentralized communication mechanisms, understand the trusted distributed network data structure, consensus algorithm, authority mechanism, account system, etc., to provide functional reference for MetaLife application services.
1.3 Discussed communication and governance mechanism with the MetaLife team, analyzed the heterogeneous combined framework and governance mechanism of multiple communication protocols, to provide governance reference for subsequent MetaLife ecological incentives.
1.4 Completed preliminary analysis of SmartMesh social DID architecture and solutions, and discussed scenarios and operating procedures based on social DID tags, to provide technical support for subsequent MetaLife application identity authentication.
- Collaborated with MetaLife on product related discussion.
- Discussed and evaluated technical options for Avatars in MetaLife, and also considered association with creator economy (NFT+DAO) provided by MetaLife.
- Performed product planning for SNS (SmartMesh/Spectrum Name Service) domain name system etc.

- This week, SmartMesh directors and executives have conducted a video conference with its Singapore legal adviser to discuss MAS policy on blockchain. For sustainable and long-term development of the project, the team will continue to research and explore policy compliancy.
- SmartMesh is working with the MetaLife team for a December global marketing event, which will be a multi-dimensional plan with a goal to develop user base worldwide. SmartMesh will work with experienced individuals with lessons from early blockchain social networking projects like Steemit and Voice. This SmartMesh+MeshBox+MetaLife ecosystem aims to be a brand new starting point in the forefront of a global blockchain ecosystem.
