SmartMesh Weekly Report (2020.01.06-2020.01.10)

Singapore’s first Blockchain Living Lab, initiated by Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), SmartMesh and MeshBox Foundation, will hold an opening ceremony at SUSS on January 15th. Henry Wang, Chairman of the SmartMesh Foundation went to Singapore to take charge of preparations. Professor David Lee, Vice President of the Singapore Economic Association, Advisor to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Information and Communication and Media Development Authority (IMDA), will chair the opening ceremony, Provost of SUSS, MAS, IMDA, representatives from the Singapore Fintech Association, Singapore Blockchain Association, Blockchain Enterprises and Scalable Technologies Association (BEST), National Defense Fund, Blockchain Investment Agency, the United Nations Development Programme UNDP, Asian Development Bank, Nanyang Technological University and other institutions will be invited to attend the opening ceremony.

The Living Lab by SmartMesh & MeshBox currently covers distributed storage, distributed computing, distributed communication, Internet of Things, compliant digital currency payment, privacy protection, SD-WAN and other fields. It will soon participate in the Singapore IMDA Blockchain Interoperability Competition. The partners of the global distributed open system include and are not limited to (in no particular order) Tahoe, Scuttlebutt, YottaChain, Alita, Taiyiyun, GTI, Leonardo, etc.  Living Lab uses the ground-breaking fifth-generation IT architecture HyperMesh, which aims to build the underlying infrastructure of the integrated distributed value of space-ground integration to support the Internet of Everything and the distributed application ecosystem through interoperability.

Here is the specific work for this week:

 1) Spectrum public chain:

 1.1) Strip the account model and global status module and integrate with tendermint.

 1.2) Translate the Chinese version of the white paper.

1.Photon optimization related work.

1.1 Review the previous plan design of Photon paid online third-party service, consider the part of data interaction verification method that is connected with the online service process and prepare for the subsequent connection of photon payment and third-party service.

1.2 Optimize the preliminary preparation for third-party service functions, analyze scenario requirements for contracted third-party entrusted deposit functions, and further expand third-party service functions.

1.3 Continue to analyze dual-offline payment scenarios and elements, familiarize with payment application scenarios, implementation paths, and future development directions, and prepare for subsequent comparisons with Photon’s offline payment.

  1. Atmospheric interoperability and preparation for Living Lab.

1.1 Continue to build and test the multi-storage node group contiguous environment of the Tahoe project, conduct multi-introducer and multi-storage node connection configuration and test problem feedback to prepare for subsequent cooperation and docking.

1.2 Perform basic functional testing and experience feedback of Tahoe distributed storage mobile client, including; basic upload and download functions, file deletion, file sharing, etc., to provide a reference for project interoperability verification.

1.3 Set up a distributed communication application sharing Pub environment, initial set up of a cloud server Pub and generate invitation codes, verify the basic functions of distributed communication through Pub on multiple mobile and desktop clients, and prepare for the construction of LivingLab infrastructure.

1.4 Continue to interoperate and cooperate with a financial inclusive application project, build the operating node of the chain and evaluate the feasibility of Atmosphere’s cross-chain interoperability on the two chains, providing a landing idea for the LivingLab interoperability challenge.

  1. Cooperate with the MeshBox team to adjust the paid Internet function experience and increase the display of payment records and remaining Internet time.
  2. Tango version 2.3.5 is released.
  3. Joint research with the MeshBox team on the mobile end of the Tahoe project to further delete file records and mobile sharing rules.

  1.   2. SmartMesh is conducting cross-chain collaboration discussions with Taiyiyun to achieve the protection of user privacy and authorized use. At present, basic communication has been done at the commercial level, and preliminary communication at the product level has been completed.
  3. Through the joint efforts of SmartMesh, MeshBox and Yottachain technologies, YottaChain nodes have been able to successfully run Docker in MeshBox to provide distributed storage functions. Further expansion is ongoing.
  4. An SDWAN company hopes to cooperate with SmartMesh to jointly promote the WAN link routing reward mechanism. At the commercial level, the two parties are currently discussing the technical solution for cooperation.

Two works with Guangtong International (GTI) are underway. The Lora board is ready to start the schematic work. The BSN docking is in the researching process. The cross-chain operation with BSN will provide experience for SmartMesh to cooperate with other Blockchain national teams.

  1. SmartMesh founder Henry Wang was invited by the US 3D Solar T3DP and Longji to visit the world’s largest single crystal solar manufacturer in Taizhou, Jiangsu. Transactive energy and renewable energy will play an important role in the ten-year process of global network integration. Considering that many islands around the world will be covered by satellite signals in the future, but only offline microgrids can bring electricity to these islands to drive the value of the Internet, SmartMesh is working to rebuild the microgrid energy ecosystem using Blockchain technology. This visit opened the first step for SmartMesh to connect with the frontiers of 3D solar technology between China and the United States, as well as for Chinese and Singapore universities to prepare for integration with the giants of the solar manufacturing industry.
