SmartMesh Weekly Report (2019.12.16-2019.12.20)

This week, the SmartMesh team continues to prepare for the Singapore Living Lab and the Singapore Government Blockchain Interoperability challege. On December 17th, the South Korean Global Blockchain Leadership Summit was held in Seoul. Mr. Henry Wang accepted the invitation of Li Ying, the chief producer of the “Focus on Blockchain” segment of CCTV. This smart tourism product is more suitable for the Singapore Challenge and domestic smart tourism projects. At the invitation of blockchain geeks such as SmartMesh advisor Willson and “hardcore” program ape Roberto, Mr. Henry Wang came to Bali to participate in the annual “Bali Consensus” closed-door meeting and communicated with the Mindspeed team about the sales related cooperation with Southeast Asian agents. Today, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) released the latest guidance documents and sample forms for payment licenses. The SmartMesh Foundation paid close attention to and discussed the application situation of the license with advisor Professor David Lee.

Here is the specific work for this week:

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Spectrum public chain:

1.1 Investigate the implementation scheme of rapid confirmation for public chain transfers.

1.2 Design the upper-level business logic module on the second version of the blockchain.

  1. Photon optimization related work.

1.1 Carry out analysis of Photon paid Internet third-party service requirements, design Photon to upload data to third-party services, and improve the applicability of photon payments.

1.2 Continue to make preparations to optimise the Withdraw function of the contract, and perform security analysis on the state restoration scenario of the Photon channel after the withdrawal of money has expired, further improving the Photon user experience.

1.3 Update the MeshBox version of the Photon compilation environment. Completely rebuild and back up the Photon compilation environment under the OpenWrt system to further improve the reliability of the environment.

1.4 Carry out discussions on the optimization of third-party services, demonstrate the necessity of entrusted deposits and withdrawals of third-party services, and further expand the functions of third-party services.

1.Atmospheric interoperability and preparation for Living Lab.

1.1Complete the compilation and node deployment of the Tahoe project on the Meshbox operating environment, complete the basic functional verification of distributed storage applications, and prepare for subsequent cooperation and docking.

1.2 Perform a preliminary evaluation of Tahoe distributed storage application performance, including: distributed verification of multiple devices, redundant design, security analysis, etc., to provide a reference for project interoperability verification.

1.3 Communicate the distributed storage docking applications, discuss the application direction of SmartMesh in combination with SmartMesh, and provide a landing idea for LivingLab interoperability challenge.

1.4 Prepare for verification of Atmosphere spectrum and Ethereum cross-chain, check the balance of the notary node and the stability of the connected public chain node, and prepare the conditions for the LivingLab demonstration.

  1. Adjust the layout of APP ecological interface.

Cooperate with the Photon Network team to optimize the payment function with the MeshBox project party.1. On December 14, the leaders of the Development and Reform Commission of a certain city and the founder of a low-orbit satellite constellation visited the company and exchanged views on the establishment of the Beijing Research Institute of Space Origin and the construction of a high-tech industrial group on air-space-ground integration. On the 15th, they went to the Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology for a visit and exchange. The leaders of the space science and technology introduced the evolution and recent reorganization of Hongyun and Hongyan low-orbit satellite constellations. Satellite Internet has been highly valued by the country in the near future, and comprehensive network deployment is speeding up.

2. On December 17th, the South Korean Global Blockchain Leadership Summit was held in Seoul. Mr. Henry Wang accepted the invitation of the chief producer of the CCTV “Focus on Blockchain” segment Li Ying to participate and serve as a judge on the “Focus on Blockchain Special Investment and Financing”. Among the many projects, Mr. Wang’s favourite is a smart tourism project. This project is suitable for participating in the Singapore government’s blockchain interoperability competition based on the SmartMesh ecology, as well as being incorporated into the local development and reform commission’s smart tourism project.

At the summit, Henry Wang also exchanged views with SmartMesh advisor, economics professors, and, a distinguished faculty in finance of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Wang Binsheng. The picture below shows Mr. Wang Binsheng.

Professor Wang gave his new book “The Road to Future Wealth” to Mr. Wang, along with his autograph. This book was just published and has been at the top of the new book list. Congratulations to Professor Wang!

3. On December 18, Mr. Henry Wang came to Bali Blockchain Zoo to communicate and brainstorm at the invitation of blockchain geeks such as SmartMesh advisor Willson, and a hardcore programmer Roberto. Mr. Roberto did the test long before the world’s first blockchain Bitcoin was launched. He is also one of the authors of the POS consensus mechanism. The public chain ZooBC he is currently developing uses a new Proof of Participation consensus mechanism, and will cooperate with SmartMesh and MeshBox in depth. The ZooBC node will start running on MeshBox next week, and plans to participate in the Blockchain Interoperability Challenge sponsored by Singapore’s IMDA and expand the Indonesian market together.

Indonesia is the most important market for SmartMesh. With 12,000 islands, fiber optics and base stations cannot be used for network deployment. Only high- and low-orbit satellite constellation air-space-ground integrated networking can be used to solve the connection problem. ATMs made up of high-orbit satellite transceivers can be found everywhere in Bali. Air-space-ground integrated networking has become Indonesia’s national policy. In the future, these high-orbit satellite transceivers will be replaced by lower-orbit satellite transceivers with better broadband performance. The excess bandwidth can be shared to surrounding communities, businesses and individuals through the SmartMesh network.

In Bali, President Wang also communicated with the Mindspeed team led by Mr. Evan. The Mindspeed team hopes to represent MeshBox in some Southeast Asian countries.

President Wang also exchanged with a South Korean company committed to smart cities in a closed-door conference in Bali. Korean companies hope to cooperate with SmartMesh and MeshBox in the field of smart light poles.
