SmartMesh Biweekly Report (2021.09.11–2021.09.24)

A SmartMesh Ecosystem Development Conference was held in the late evening on Friday in order to accommodate participants from Europe, North America and Asia.  In the meeting, development for a Web3.0 decentralized social platform and decentralized application was discussed.  Open-source software developers from several continents are expected to contribute to the program in the coming weeks.

With respect to the SmartMesh Ecosystem, SmartMesh Foundation is exploring a deployment opportunity with a non-profit organization for a global clean-water program. The HyperMesh solution jointly built by SmartMesh and its partner MeshBox Foundation enables donors to purchase and own NFTs that represent assets (such as water wells) to service the underserved communities.  Donors can also obtain real-time data of the assets via HyperMesh IoT solution so as to understand how their donations have a positive impact on the community.

The following are specific work accomplished this week:

  1. Constructed Proof-of-Mesh network on Spectrum blockchain
  2. Built local server for snapshot of blocks
  3. Researched consensus algorithm for user incentive on Tokenship ecosystem

  1. Performed functional analysis on various Layer 2 off-chain protocols, including: layered design, node composition, off-chain consensus mechanism and trusted services, logical analysis and offline function, with comparison to Photon, to provide reference for subsequent expansion on Photon privacy transaction use case.
  2. Performed feasibility analysis on Layer 2 support for Tokenship, confirmed availability and security of the Layered infrastructure built from integrating the existing Rollup protocol and Photon network, to provide technical support for TokenShip ecosystem framework.

  1. Preparation for cross-chain interoperability and distributed communication.

1.1 Continued with the design for cross-chain notary page functional reconstruction, built ScprepareLockin transaction function and design contract interaction process logics, to provide conversion support for cross-chain platform.

1.2 Analyzed the concept of distributed communication protocols and social use cases.  Analyzed the functions and feasibility of identity format, node discovery, network data exchange, Pub invitation and node deployment, to provide functional reference for TokenShip platform.

1.3 Continued verification for distributed communication functional services.  Confirmed interactive performance for data synchronization update, identity ID change, Like and Follow, to provide technical support for subsequent construction of Tokenship ecosystem.

Analyzed functions and applications for distributed social applications, including: content creation, social activities, network construction and other decentralized social use cases and applications, to provide reference for subsequent design of TokenShip related mechanisms.

A security consultant from Least Authority shared with the team the distributed application project funded by the European Next Generation Internet Fund and its developers, and will invite more developers to join the SmartMesh ecosystem Dapp development plan.
