SmartMesh BiWeekly Report (2020.02.01–2020.02.14)

President ’s Digital Economy Advisor to the Indonesian President, Mr. Morgan Napitupulu, held web conference with SmartMesh CEO Mr Henry Wang and Advisor Dr. Peter Yan. Morgan Napitupulu is a friend of Henry. He sent greetings and blessings during the Chinese New Year.

Indonesia has a population of more than 200 million but none of them are infected with the new corona virus. Mr. Morgan Napitupulu said that this may be related to the tropical, high temperature and humidity of Indonesia. Hopefully, this phenomenon can provide clues for China to overcome the epidemic. The two sides exchanged recent developments, and Mr. Morgan Napitupulu stated that he was about to set up a new company with the former chairman of Indonesia Telecom. Dr. Peter Yan introduced the microgrid tradable energy project suitable for the islands. The two parties will continue in-depth exchanges on the combined application of blockchain and communication technology, and look forward to meeting and collaborating after the epidemic.

Here is the specific work for this week:

The specific work is as follows:

1.Photon optimization related work.

1.1 Photon to optimize the direction of optimization, PFS routing balance, third-party entrusted cash withdrawal, off-chain data synchronization and other proposed optimization direction for priority evaluation, to provide a reference for further improving user payment experience.

1.2 Review the new function interface code of Photon, analyze and streamline the parameters and code logic, and improve the code execution performance.

1.3 Follow closely to Spider routing scheme, compare and analyze the multi-path transmission and the PFS routing balance assumption to be optimized, and further improve the off-chain transaction efficiency.

1.4 Follow closely to relevant Layer 2 technology progress, understand Hub payment gateway model, and provide reference for subsequent construction of super nodes to shorten payment routing.

  1. Atmospheric interoperability and preparation for Living Lab.

1.1 Perform preliminary analysis of the expansion of atmospheric cross-chain functions, consider the need for synchronous data push, and provide a reference for subsequent cross-chain technology improvements.

1.2 Learn about the technology related to the LivingLab application project, review parts of the whitepaper, and provide support for subsequent cooperation.

1.3 Re-analyze the interoperability scenarios of the LivingLab’s proposed projects, and analyze the current atmospheric functions that need to be perfected based on the scenario requirements to provide a reference for the interoperability of the LivingLab platform.

  1. Analyze the interoperability plans prepared by multiple blockchain partners, arrange and study the application ecology of SmartMesh development.

  1. Chairman of the Singapore Fintech Association and Director of SmartMesh, Mr. Chia Hock Lai, successfully created a Corp Pass for the SmartMesh Foundation. This is a requirement that must be met when applying for the MAS payment service license of the Singapore Monetary Authority. Only Singapore local directors are eligible to complete the application. SmartMesh successfully took the first step.
  2. SmartMesh and Meshbox are collaborating with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) to organize a college student competition on the “DAPP killer application in the blockchain era”. In the age of the Internet, junior Mark Zuckerberg invented Facebook, a killer app that has grown into a unicorn and currently has a market value of $ 600 billion. What kind of killer DAPP can university students in Singapore invent in the blockchain era? Based on the Living Lab jointly initiated by SUSS, SmartMesh and MeshBox, university students can design their future killer applications with their innvation. These applications will use SMT and MESH tokens for behavioural incentives and will be combined with campus payments.
  3.
