SmartMesh Biweekly Report (2021.07.31–2021.08.13)

On August 1, 2021, SmartMesh® Foundation appointed Soh Har Pang as Vice President of Business Development. Soh Har is a senior executive with rich international experience.  She has participated in the planning and implementation of corporate technology, business innovation execution, and corporate M&A; and has a successful track record in corporate strategic planning, technology and operations management. After joining SmartMesh, Soh Har has collaborated with several partners to organize community AMA meetings in expanding the awareness and influence of SmartMesh® branding.

Today, SmartMesh® Shareholder and Director Professor David Lee has attended the weekly management meeting and discussed business development plans with the team.

The following is the specific work this week:

The specific works are as followed:

1.1 Discussed the design of off-chain encrypted data transmission on Photon network, analyzed encrypted data transmission, data field expansion and transfer payment methods to expand off-chain applications of Photon network.

1.2 Reviewed Photon offline payment applications and risks, analyzed security mechanism in the offline application, and feasibility of a Photon Hub node in offline payment to expand offline payment application and optimization of Photon.

The specific works are as followed:

  1. Atmosphere crosschain interoperability and Value Internet Swap (VISwap) preparations.

1.1 With respect to cross-chain application between Spectrum and Heco chain, performed test on VISwap cross-chain notary function optimization, using concurrent transactions to achieve crash and automatic recovery scenario for process design and testing for notary nodes.

1.2 Constructed preliminary design for side panel function on cross-chain notary page, modified user, notary and contract interaction logic to adapt to the page side panel calling function in order to provide conversion support on cross-chain platform.

1.3 For VISwap cross-chain security, investigated security of cross-chain notary distributed private key, conducted analogy analysis of distributed notary contract and signature process in Poly Network attack scenarios.

1.4 For VISwap cross-chain implementation, researched and compared related cross-chain routing schemes for a preliminary understanding of the construction of cross-chain protocols, data transaction specifications, and contract scheduling management.

  1. Worked with the ecosystem operational team to develop relevant materials.

This week, the business activities of SmartMesh were carried out in an orderly manner, as follows:

She has participated in the planning and implementation of corporate technology, business innovation execution, and corporate M&A; and has a successful track record in corporate strategic planning, technology and operations management.
  2. After joining SmartMesh, Soh Har has collaborated with several partners to organize community AMA meetings in expanding awareness and influence of SmartMesh® branding. Among them, an AMA was conducted with Pacific.one, a decentralized NFT exchange. Soh Har and Mr. Gupta, COO, have hosted AMA events in their respective Telegram group for each other’s project to increase community awareness and influence for each other’s project.

  1. On August 8, 2021, mining for Spectrum blockchain was halved. Starting from August 8th, the number of SMT that can be mined by each Spectrum node has been halved, which means that the number of SMT production is reduced by half compared with that in the past, and the number of SMT flowing into the secondary market will also be halved in the future.
  2. Today, SmartMesh Shareholder and Director Professor David Lee has attended the SmartMesh weekly management meeting. During the meeting, Professor Lee explained that the pandemic has disrupted plans of many businesses in Singapore. He hopes that the team will persevere on the right path and endure the hardship for the company. Professor Lee has also discussed business development plans and shared his understanding of Singapore blockchain policy, where he is an advisor, with the team.
