SmartMesh Biweekly Report (2020.10.24-2020.11.06)

This week, Mr. Henry Wang, the founder of SmartMesh, discussed with Mr. He Yifan, the executive director of Blockchain Service Network (BSN) Development Alliance and the founder and CEO of Red Date Technology. The new blockchain infrastructure BSN is a global public blockchain network environment used to deploy and run blockchain applications across cloud service providers, portals, and underlying infrastructures. Its purpose is the same as that of the Internet, to reduce the entire blockchain industry application development, deployment, operation and maintenance, communication and supervision costs. BSN plans to use Singapore as its global base to expand its services to Southeast Asia. The two parties are discussing cooperation related to the blockchain education in Singapore and the blockchain ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

The following is the specific work in the past two weeks:

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Photon optimization related work.

1.1 Continued to design the state channel liquidity transactions, analyze the problem of introducing liquidity through lease transactions to resolve unbalanced resource allocation in state channels, and provide technical support for the subsequent expansion of Layer 2 DeFi.

1.2 Considering solutions to existing problems of Layer 2 DeFi expansion, understanding the technologies adopted by these solutions, and potential risk factors such as forks or network failures that may exist during the operation process. Preparing for the subsequent expansion of NFT liquidity Layer 2 support.

1.3 Continuing to pay attention to the application of Universal Payment Channel and Wormhole protocol, comparing and analyzing the subsequent adjustments of the cross-token off-chain payment supporting Path Finding Service (PFS) Swap and the existing Photon PFS scheme.  Preparing for expanding the Photon cross-token payment and cross-blockchain payment applications optimization.

The specific work is as follows:

1. Atmospheric interoperability and Living Lab preparations.

1.1 Paying attention to the progress of digital RMB wallet, discussing the suitability of Atmosphere with digital RMB payment and the existing public chain cross-chain payment integration in the future 5G IoT application scenario, providing support for the expansion of Atmosphere’s future applications.

1.2 Starting collaboration with the BSN project, analyzing the feasibility of cooperation with BSN in the fields of distributed storage, blockchain living lab, blockchain education, and preparing for further expansion to support interoperable ecosystem applications.

1.3 Continue to integrate with the JED Trade cooperation project, negotiate the new cross-chain process based on NFT design, and communicate internally with the NFT logo design to provide support for subsequent project interoperability and future collaboration.

The specific work is as follows:

Developing the DeFi mining function of the Tango App ecosystem module related to the DeFi Yield Farming mode.  Working on the Tango DAPP function in cooperation with MeshBox for joint debugging and testing.

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Yesterday, SmartMesh consultant Professor David Lee, founder Henry Wang had a meeting on how to deploy the SmartMesh network in Indonesia. Indonesia is located close to countries such as Papua New Guinea, Brunei, East Timor and Malaysia. Composed of about 17,508 islands, it is the world’s largest archipelago country, with a territory spanning from Asia to Oceania, has many volcanoes and earthquakes. With a population of nearly 262 million (2019), Indonesia ranks fourth in the world after China, India, and the United States. Numerous islands lead to high cost to deploy submarine optical fiber, and frequent earthquakes and typhoons mean the high cost of ground base stations. These factors make Indonesia the one of the largest market for SmartMesh networks around the world. One of the best ways for Indonesia to build a network is the Space-Ground Integration Network, but Indonesia’s last two satellite launches this year has failed. The APSTAR satellites and SmartMesh and MeshBox’s last mile solution on the ground is currently one of the best choices for Indonesia to consider. From now, through late 2021, Starlink low-orbit satellite constellation density will gradually increase, becoming another option for SmartMesh’s Space-Ground Integrated Network. However, Starlink currently does not have sufficient satellite density to provide Internet services to the equatorial region.

  1. SmartMesh consultant and the Draper Dragon Fund partner Richard Wang and SmartMesh founder Henry Wang had a dinner meeting to discuss the integration with satellite constellation and the company’s development plan. Another partner of Draper Dragon Fund is Tim Draper. The associated DFJ is the key capital that allowed Elon Musk to come back from the edge of bankruptcy.
