SmartMesh Biweekly Report(2020.05.10-2020.05.22)

The world we live in is undergoing fragmentation, reconstruction and digital economic transformation. On 14th May, Libra Association announced that Singapore international investment company, Temasek Holdings has become one of the newest members to join its proposed cryptocurrency project. After the pull out by payment giants Mastercard, Visa and PayPal, Temasek has become one of the most renowned supporters of the project.

The Ministry of Finance of the Singapore Government is the sole shareholder of Temasek. Temasek International Deputy CEO Chia Song Hwee announced that Temasek is working with government agencies and other companies to promote the application of blockchain technology. “Blockchain technology can play a transformative role in the payment network by improving cost efficiency, creating new business opportunities and accelerating financial inclusion. He said: “Us joining the Libra Association as a member will help build a cost-effective High global regulatory network for retail payments”.

As we all know, Singapore’s stance is that of a neutral attitude towards the supervision of blockchain and digital currency and has an inclusive attitude towards innovation without it affecting financial stability. Vice President of Economic Society of Singapore, Singapore’s “Blockchain Dad” Professor David Lee played a huge role in advancing Singapore’s blockchain national policy. In order to allow blockchain to be widely recognized in Singapore and to allow usage of the token economy, Professor Lee led a joint project, known as the Living Lab with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), SmartMesh and MeshBox. Building on the foundation of the Living Lab, we have announced a series of blockchain workshops, leveraging MeshBox hardware, as part of the 2020 Blockchain Challenge. Industry partners, SmartMesh and MeshBox will hold an 8-day seminar at SUSS over the course of 4 weeks, covering topics such as blockchain, financial technology, Space Ground Integration Network, Internet of Things and Smart City. Demonstrations are conducted in the Lab and students will get hands-on experience with the SmartMesh and associated ecosystem technologies. This will be the first time blockchain tokens will undergo large-scale experimental circulation and application in Singapore’s University campus. As a solution for the new global infrastructure, the Space Ground Integration Network, built by SmartMesh, MeshBox and satellite constellations will enhance the digital economy by Libra and DCEP for emerging markets.

Here is the specific work for this week:

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Photon optimization related work.

1.1 Conducted Photon APP function test and optimize feedbacks, compare the existing APP payment process and page function display with other similar APPs with two-layer technology, and provide a reference basis for subsequent optimization.

1.2 Carried out third-party entrusted withdrawal design, completed third-party entrusted money withdrawal PFS online status query interface design and development, and further improve the scope of PMS entrusted services.

1.3 Analyzed the trusted hardware execution environment and asynchronous payment functions, understood the secure payment process, intermediate consensus, and security strategies to prepare for further improvement of the off-chain channel payment experience and extended ecological applications.

1.4 Conducted a feasibility analysis of Photon’s support for IoT data transfer, preliminary discussions on potential application scenarios, implementation methods, and preparation for subsequent communication-based micropayment ecosystem applications.

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Atmospheric interoperability and Living Lab preparation.

1.1 Communicated with the Singapore SUSS on Workshop services, made recommendations on the existing functional elements and course design of different demonstration sessions, and provided support for the up coming Singapore Living Lab challenge.

1.2 Continue to prepare Atmosphere documentation, perform Atmosphere function and process description, and prepare for further improving code quality and document specifications.

1.3 Prepare the external network conditions for Tahoe multi-introducer connection, evaluate the storage sharing feasibility and related configuration of the multi-introduction shared storage node on the public networks, and provide reference for interoperability docking of subsequent projects.

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Research on eCommerce ecosystem construction

Using tokens for ecosystem, construction and promoting SMT circulation. We conducted an analysis of an eCommerce in China to strive for the successful introduction of Living Lab innovation and entrepreneurship series of activities.
