SmartMesh Weekly(2019.10.28-2019.11.1)

On November 1, SmartMesh adviser and MeshBox CEO Peter attended the 3rd Technical Committee meeting of Smart Grid and Power Electronics Consortium of Singapore (SPECS) of which SmartMesh is a member. SPECS is proposing a Universal Power Hub (UPH), which is targeted to microgrids to interconnect solar, batteries, and appliance loads. SmartMesh is discussing collaboration with SPECS consortium companies to integrate MeshBox and Spectrum with the UPH. The UPH proposal will be submitted to the National Research Foundation (NRF), and other funding opportunities. The long term plan is to develop a commercial Microgrid infrastructure for the SmartMesh HyperMesh Transactive Energy System for the 1 Billion people without access to electricity.

The microgrid refers to a small power distribution system consisting of distributed power sources, energy storage devices, energy conversion devices, loads, monitoring and protection devices. Through the microgrid, an autonomous system that can control, protect and manage the entire grid can be formed, which not only enables consumers to obtain the required energy, but also can produce and simplify the energy consumption for the grid, and make the traditional grid transition to the smart grid.

Microgrids aim to improve the reliability and efficiency of energy production and consumption. Combining SmartMesh, Spectrum and Photon network blockchain technology to record and verify power transactions in the microgrid, it can be used on a wider scale, support energy consumption monitoring for security and privacy protection, and achieve energy trading in smart grids. It can be completed without an intermediate platform.

Last week, SpaceX has increased the number of low-orbit satellites from 12,000 to 42,000, and global competitors have increased the number of satellites launched, too. Within ten years, the satellite’s Internet microwave signal will cover every corner of the Earth. Those areas that are difficult to cover by the centralized power grid will be empowered by the tradable energy microgrid. The MeshBox will be used on the ground to form a SmartMesh network and form the space and ground integration network with satellites eventually.

The following is the specific work of this week:

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Spectrum public chain:

1.1 Recoding of the service layer and the database.

1.2 In order to better adapt to the service layer implementation, adjusted the code of the link layer part.

The specific work is as follows:

1, Photon and Matrix optimization

1.1 Initially, the Photon PMS is commissioned to register the Secret scheme design, and the PMS delegates the registration of the Secret scene and registration method to improve the security of the Photon node locking assets.

1.2 Performed PFS extended route design analysis, discussed the feasibility of introducing the always-on intermediate node to assist the delay payment of node offline transaction, and provided support for the subsequent Photon extended payment function.

1.3 Performed Photon intermediate node transaction optimization process test, simulated the attack behavior of the transaction sender to pre-register Secret and send the transaction to ensure the security of Photon intermediate node funds.

1.4 Continued with Matrix optimization, upgraded the Matrix Room version to Version 5 to fix existing security vulnerabilities and backward compatible with historical versions of client APIs.

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Atmosphere cross-chain custom design.

1.1 Continued to logically interface with the APP front-end, discussed the distributed notary interface parameter call form, and provided application support for Singapore Living Lab cross-chain concept verification.

1.2 Continued to prepare for the cross-chain condition of the Bitcoin test chain, built a BTC Testnet environment and unlocking and expiration scripts, and provided cross-chain support for IMDA Interoperability Challenge.

1.3 Conducted distributed notary management analysis, clarified the definition of distributed notary interface and quantitative proportion, and further enhanced the dispersion of multiple notaries.

1.4 Continued to describe the function interface of Ethereum and Spectrum cross-chain contract specification, described the process and scene of the similar function interface of the main chain in the side chain contract, and provided reference for Living Lab and cross-chain ecological scene application support.

The specific work is as follows:

  1. Atmosphere cross-chain first round test is completed, and the regression acceptance phase is in progress. A slight adjustment will be made based on the current user experience.

1. On October 31, Peter Yan gave a speech, “HyperMesh Transactive Energy System with Solar PV for Footprint limited Use Cases” at the 4th Asian Conference on Energy, Power and Transportation Electrification (ACEPT), part of the Asian Clean Energy Summit (ACES), held with Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW).Over 10,000 people attended the event held in the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center. Peter took the chance to meet with representatives from Singapore government agencies such as Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Singapore Maritime Institute.  SMI will publish a Request for Proposal for electrification of Maritime Ports in April, 2020, and we will submit a proposal with 3D Solar from T3DP.

2. The UPH proposal will be submitted to National Research Foundation (NRF), and other funding opportunities. The long term plan is to develop a commercial Microgrid infrastructure for the SmartMesh HyperMesh Transactive Energy System for the 1 Billion people without access to electricity.

3. On October 25-27, Henry Wang, Chairman of the SmartMesh Foundation, participated in the “Philippines National Surfing Competition and Music Festival” held in Philippines. He used MeshBox Tesla networking to provide Wi-Fi Mesh network service for organizing committees, athletes and VIPs, and applied SMT token for connection billing in the world for the first time.

It is the first time in human history in which the SMT token and Layer 2 Photon network was able to automatically create and connect payment channels, which is the basis of the Internet of Everything, including peer-to-peer and machine-to-machine transactions!

Last week SpaceX’s Musk just confirmed that its Starlink Satellite Internet system performed well in space. Three days later, SmartMesh founder Henry Wang also proved with MeshBox that the blockchain two-layer network can be used for high-speed automatic routing payment and“worked!”on the ground, which is the basis of the token switching. The space ground integration network makes human beings never so close to the inclusive connection of all human beings and the Internet of Everything!

MeshBox smart hardware is also the focus of this blockchain field application. They have withstood the test of high temperature, high humidity, lightning, sea salt and sand in tropical countries. The visual coverage of the first version of the antenna exceeded expectations. The next step is to optimize the creation steps of the photon channel, simplify the process of the access to the network with tokens as much as possible, and lay a solid foundation for the human’s universal connection.

SmartMesh and MeshBox are using the inclusive connection and inclusive finance to build an infrastructure for energy and Internet of Value to connect all humans, which will be the foundation of the ecology of global inclusive finance.
