On June 30, 2022, SmartMesh ecosystem partner – Interstellar Social Networking company MetaLife launched a beta version of the MetaLife DApp as scheduled. MetaLife App is the first real Web3.0 mobile application and is also the most challenging to have been developed in human history so far. In most of the functions of Web 2.0 applications, which are actually implemented on centralized servers, user data and privacy are completely exposed to the eyes of App developers and back-office personnel. Real Web 3.0 applications eliminate such centralized servers to become fully decentralized. For such communication and social functions in MetaLife, the mobile phone application is both a client and a server, and the second-layer network node integrated with the blockchain needs to support dual (on-chain and off-chain), as well as offline payment. As such, the difficulty level of development increases exponentially. Yesterday, a basic version of the beta test was launched as scheduled, which is a milestone for the MetaLife Interstellar Social Network. Subsequent functions such as NFT trading marketplace Open Galaxy, DAO universe, and other smart contracts have also been developed and tested and will be integrated into MetaLife one after another.
The specific work is as follows:
1.1 Carried out MetaLife Photon integration and functional testing, mainly including wallet construction, Photon initialization, channel deposit, channel withdrawal, and payment, etc., to provide functional preparation for MetaLife social incentives.
1.2 Carried out the design of new incentive functions for SocialFi super nodes, and developed new Layer 2 incentive logic for user posting and commenting, daily login, etc., to provide a reference for subsequent MetaLife Photon social applications.
The specific work is as follows：
- Serverless distributed communication development to support MetaLife.
1.1 Conducted MetaLife APP integration function test feedback, mainly including installation guide, data initialization, wallet switching, account creation, communication interaction, etc., to provide a reference for MetaLife experience evaluation.
1.2 Conducted MetaLife NFT distributed storage selection analysis, including NFT storage performance and cost, NFT cross-chain demand support, NFT display, user access experience, etc., to provide a reference for MetaLife NFT application expansion.
1.3 Carried out the design of new incentive methods for MetaLife SocialFi, including user registration, login and check-in, publishing and commenting on posts, minting NFT, etc., to provide a functional reference for MetaLife SocialFi.
1.4 Discussed the functions of the MetaLife DAO contract, including DAO creation, voting, issue acquisition, crowdfunding, middleware design, etc., to provide a reference for the subsequent MetaLife DAO construction.

Participating in the development of the SmartMesh ecological project MetaLife Dapp:
- 4 ways to import wallet UI / interactive process;
- Export Keystore, private key, modify, delete wallet details;
- Mnemonic backup process UI / interaction;
- Detailed UI such as page text modification;
- Built wallet, UI/data structure/interaction;
- Abstract global shared components, modal/mask/pull menu;
- Solving blocking bugs;
- Adapt to the photonic base layer package;
- Refactor the initialization process, including new modes/recovery modes.
The specific work is as follows:
- Completed the creation of new users, imported user page interaction and UI design;
- Completed the page interaction and UI design related to rewards;
- Sorted out the details of the first stage requirements of NFT Marketplace Open Galaxy and adjusted the page operation logic.

- In the MetaLife beta version, users are able to join communities (which we call Planets) and connect with friends who share interests. Users can manage their private chats and public posts in one app. Most importantly, as long as they are on the same network (WiFi Mesh or LAN network), friends can find each other without the Internet, and private chats and posts can continue to spread among friends in the network. This method of spreading messages using a distributed personal social graph is the most privacy-preserving and unstoppable way to bring communication and socialization to everyone in the world, with or without the Internet. NFT and DAO creation, Open Galaxy, and many more features will be released for beta testing in the next few weeks.
- The SmartMesh ecosystem is intensively preparing for the Global Web3 Ecological Innovation Summit to be held in Singapore in mid-July. At the conference, SmartMesh Ecology will showcase its NFT projects with partners. Some of the funds from these projects will be used to purchase MeshBoxes, to be deployed in underserved areas for education and people’s livelihood. Commemorative NFTs of the conference will also be minted on the SmartMesh Spectrum public blockchain. Each participant can submit a photo for minting through the commemorative page of the conference NFT provided by SmartMesh and collect such NFTs in MetaLife’s Web3 summit collection.
