SmartMesh Biweekly Report (2021.07.03–2021.07.16)

For the Internet of Value Lab (VI Lab), this has been an exceptionally busy week.  With great passion and dedication, the team has been working diligently on VISwap, the Value Internet Decentralized Exchange, which was finally completed and launched on July 10.  One week later, the Spectrum-Heco cross-chain bridge based on SmartMesh cross-chain architecture Atmosphere will be completed as well. Currently, the internal tests conducted by the community are progressing smoothly. The SmartMesh ecosystem cross-chain DEX project VISwap (official website address: https://viswap.io/) is scheduled to officially open for operation on July 20, 2021.

At the same time, SmartMesh Foundation has signed a memorandum of agreement with an IoT partner in Singapore. The two parties will collaborate in providing smart port and maritime solutions to the maritime industry. Today, the partners have invited a leading maritime satellite communication solution provider to participate in the discussion, and the three parties plan to establish a strong partnership and create disruptive solutions for the maritime industry.

The following are specific work in the past two weeks:

The specific works are as followed:

The cross-chain DEX project VISwap (official website address: https://viswap.io/), based on SmartMesh Spectrum ecosystem and developed by VI Lab, is running smoothly and scheduled to be officially opened for operation on July 20, 2021.

The specific works are as followed:

1.1 Discussed and planned for new features related to Layer 2 solution, including support for NFT minting, transfer and exchange, support for ERC 20 token exchange and limit order transactions.

1.2 With respect to SmartMesh ecosystem IoT data transaction capabilities, discussed the application of hosting feature in Photon Hub. Analysed the scenario of multiple IoT sensing devices off-chain proxy data transactions in Photon.

The specific works are as followed:

Atmospheric interoperability and VISwap preparations:

1. Carried out VISwap cross-chain adaptability modification. Modified the cross-chain process and adjusted the relevant parameters and interface call sequence in order to support Spectrum and Heco cross-chain.

2. Conducted cross-chain notary test environment construction and functional interface testing.  Completed code modification and functional testing for Spectrum and Heco Lockin and Lockout. Provided conversion support for the cross-chain platform.

3. Worked on Tango App cross-chain function, managing interface call logic and polling processes to provide functional support for VISwap cross-chain application.

4. Researched cross-chain DEX technical solutions, analysed and evaluated main functional modules, technical routes, and safety performance for VISwap optimization.

The specific work is as followed:

Tango App new cross-chain functions are under development and will be launched in the near future in tandem with respective ecosystem projects.

The market and business activities of SmartMesh were carried out in a busy but orderly manner, as followed:

  1. This week, SmartMesh Foundation has signed a memorandum of agreement with an IoT partner in Singapore. The two parties will collaborate in providing smart port and maritime solutions to the maritime industry. Today, the partners have invited a leading maritime satellite communication solution provider to participate in the discussion, and the three parties plan to establish a strong partnership and create disruptive solutions for the maritime industry. The maritime satellite communication solution provider is committed to bringing Internet to the Southeast Asian populations who has no access to Internet.  The intermittent connectivity issue with satellite internet connections is a challenge (e.g., e-commerce). SmartMesh Photon network, an efficient payment network that can operate with or without internet, provides a good solution in addressing this QoS issue.
  2. SmartMesh is making progress with an ASEAN Telecom consortium towards project scoping out 2 POC sites in Malaysia, each covering an area of about one square kilometer and serving approximately 1,500 users.
