The Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s policies on “building digital financial infrastructure” in the post COVID-19 era are leading Asian countries to attach importance to the construction of inclusive communication and digital financial infrastructure.
The BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area) includes parts of the four countries listed. The goal of this Growth Area is to promote the socio-economic development in the remote and less developed areas of the four countries, and narrow the economic development gap among the four countries and the other six ASEAN countries. This week, the Telecom Secretary-General of BIMP-EAGA convened several BIMP-EAGA officials and SmartMesh to exchange and discuss in collaboration in BIMP-EAGA such as Internet coverage, IoT, and supply chain. The two parties are signing an NDA and planning to draft a cooperation agreement on deployment.
The collaboration between SmartMesh and SUSS in Singapore and AMA activities in global communities has enabled Indian companies in South Asia to see the potential of SmartMesh deployment in India. An Indian company contacted the Avocado Supply-Chain project Blockchain-Challenge group of the SUSS-SmartMesh Blockchain Challenge and discussed collaboration, along with SmartMesh. Indian crop farmers have recently been allowed to sell their produce more generally. However, they lack a secure platform to accessing such markets. The supply of crops cannot be matched to market demand, which often brings losses to the farmers when they cannot sell their produce before they spoil. The Indian company hopes to establish a supply chain system to solve such problems, and sees great potential in using the SmartMesh blockchain.
A representative of Indodax visited SmartMesh’s office. Indodax is the largest legal exchange in Indonesia, and allows the use of the fiat currency Rupiah to purchase digital currencies directly. Few blockchain projects have been implemented in Indonesia. They are very interested in SMT which can provide services in Indonesia, and expressed their strong support. The cooperation between SmartMesh and the exchange is set to launch in Southeast Asia after the epidemic.
The following are the specific progress in the past two weeks:
The specific work is as follows:
- Photon optimization related work.
1.1 Continue to pay close attention to cross-token network payment (CTNP) applications, determine the corresponding fee rate of cross-token off chain payment and understand the supporting design of PFSSwap. Preparations for the subsequent expansion of Photon cross-token payment and cross-blockchain payment applications are ongoing.
The specific work is as follows:
- Atmosphere interoperability and Living Lab preparations.
1.1 Analyze AI-DeFi related projects, consider the feasibility of using AI learning engines and algorithms to design DeFi trading strategies, and provide support for the subsequent expansion of Atmosphere DeFi applications.
1.2 Continue to design the Atmosphere ERC721 contract function, and adjust the Go version Lockout internal business logic for ERC721 Token to prepare support for further expansion in the interoperability ecosystem application field.
1.3 Continue the cooperation with JED Trade on the supplychain project, negotiate and discuss the new cross-chain process scheme based on NFT design, and provide support for subsequent project interoperability cooperation development.
The specific work is as follows:
Tango App ecosystem module for MeshBox NFT mode in the DeFi mining function process and related web page prototype design has been completed and is scheduled for engineering development.
